Ben is an 18 year old 16.2-16.3h unraced thoroughbred gelding. He is the absolute sweetest boy and has been in lesson programs for many, many years. He was previously a solid 3ft hunter and has extensive show miles.
Ben suffered a suspensory injury last year and was rehabbed (not with us) but he has issues with his left stifle. It does tend to lock up on him making him uncomfortable. If the right home were to give him the time and medical attention he would need to get back to being comfortable under saddle, he is 100% worth it. Unfortunately, he needs a little more attention and we feel he would benefit from his own person.
That being said, Ben is being offered as a companion or light hack horse and/or a school horse in need of maintenance.
Ben stands for the vet and farrier, loads, clips, bathes and will stand to be groomed all day long. He loves to eat and be social and gets along with everyone. He will go on trail and occasionally free lunges himself over verticals in the ring. Ben is just your super cool, kick ride, and reliable guy and is ABSOLUTELY beginner safe.
