Est. January 2019 We are a 501c3 Not For Profit organization.
Founders, a mother/daughter team who rescued their first horse on January 7th, 2019 (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). He had serious medical needs helped by a local veterinarian. After learning about auction houses and kill buyers throughout the country, those selling to them, (unaware farmers, horse lovers and Amish), with the unthinkable fate of being shipped off to Canada or Mexico for slaughter, we had to try and help save as many Equines as possible.
It is not the intention of Marlokai Rescue to criticize any one type of person or group of people who give up animals, but to raise awareness and find ways to help them into better, permanent living situations.
